Affinity Partners Rebrands as Truestead Group, Promotes Brecken Glenn to Principal

Separation from brokerage past marks new chapter for the 23-year investment and development firm.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Sept. 11, 2026 — Affinity Partners, the real estate investment and development firm formerly affiliated with commercial brokerage NAI Affinity, has rebranded as Truestead Group. The new identity reflects the firm’s evolution and formalizes its independence following the sale of NAI Affinity’s brokerage business to CBRE earlier this year.

The firm also announced the promotion of Brecken Glenn to principal. Glenn, who previously served as project manager and real estate analyst, joins Ryan Schaefer and Jake Hallauer as Truestead Group’s third principal and will help lead the firm into its next phase of growth.

Co-founded in 2003 by Schaefer, Truestead Group has developed and invested in a portfolio of multi-family, retail, and land development projects throughout the western United States, including Colorado, California, and Kansas. Among its most notable developments are 2534, which included ownership of 70 acres now home to SCHEELS All Sports, Inc.; development consulting for the owners of the overall 542-acre master-planned mixed-use development in Johnstown, Colorado; and The Flats at Hansen Farm, a 255-unit luxury apartment community in southeast Fort Collins. Identified by Hallauer, the Hansen Farm site is being led through development and construction by Schaefer and Glenn, with leasing scheduled to begin in early 2027.  The firm focuses on ground-up multifamily and mixed-use development, and other opportunistic real estate investments.

“The name Truestead came from a direct conversation about who we are, how we operate, and what we stand for,” said Schaefer, founder and CEO of Truestead Group. “Creating places where people live, work, and play is a responsibility we take seriously and an opportunity we're proud to pursue. With our residents, partners, investors, and communities at the center of every decision, we believe in doing fewer projects — and doing them exceptionally well: disciplined in our numbers, thoughtful in our design, and relentless in our execution, all built on a foundation of integrity. We wanted a name that reflected that commitment and the firm we are building for the future.”

In her role, Glenn is instrumental in leading multifamily developments from initial evaluation and concept through completion. Her work includes assessing opportunities, coordinating with partners, consultants, and municipal officials, and guiding projects toward the creation of vibrant, welcoming places for residents.

“Brecken has earned this role by doing exceptional work,” Hallauer said. “She brings the analytical rigor, sound judgment, and community perspective that define how Truestead Group approaches every project. We are entering a chapter with real momentum behind it and opportunity in front of it.”

“I am most excited to guide what we build next, projects that are thoughtfully planned and well-partnered, which add long-term value to the community,” said Glenn. The approach does not change with the title. Disciplined work, strong partnerships, and communities that our residents are proud to call home remain the standard. Truestead’s next chapter will continue to be measured by the quality of what we contribute to our residents, employees, investors, and community.”

Truestead Group operates independently from CBRE. Schaefer and Hallauer continue to provide brokerage services through CBRE in capacities separate from their work with Truestead Group.

Truestead Group recently relocated its office to 2950 E. Harmony Road, Suite 394, in Fort Collins, Colorado.
